On October 18, at 6:00 p.m., the prayer action “One Million Children Praying the Rosary” will begin in Belarus.
For the fourth year already, the Charitable Mission of the Good Samaritan under the patronage of St. Ursula Ledóchowska organizes a prayer vigil with the participation of our children. This year, we again want to unite children from Belarus and join the world day of prayer for peace and unity in the whole world. A sincere child’s prayer that glorifies God is the purest. Such an appeal will be immediately heard by the Lord, because it will come from the heart.
We invite children and parents to come to the Christian Social Center (19 Serafimovich St., Minsk). Anyone willing can join the online prayer (the link will be on the website on the day of the broadcast).
Remember how the action “One Million Children Praying the Rosary” took place in 2020, 2021 і 2022.
About the initiative
One Million Children Praying the Rosary – a global initiative organized by the Pontifical Foundation “Help to the Church in Need”. The main goal of this prayer campaign is to show that the trusting prayer of children can, like an arrow, fly straight to the heart of God and thus change the world. Therefore, imagine how powerful the Rosary prayer will be, in which children will together ask for peace and harmony in their families, people and the whole world!
Why October 18?
Traditionally, October is the month of the Rosary. In addition, October 18 is the Day of St. Luke the Evangelist, who told us the story of Jesus’ childhood and, according to tradition, is considered a person close to the Mother of God.
The meaning of the Rosary
As Pope John Paul II wrote in the letter “Rosarium Virginis Mariae”, “opening the Rosary means deepening the contemplation of the mystery of the One who “is our peace”, because “he made both parts of humanity one, destroying the wall that stands in the middle, destroying enmity” (Eph 2:14). <…> The Rosary, directing our gaze to Christ, also makes us builders of peace in the world. Having the character of constant, communal prayer, according to Christ’s command to “pray always and not give up” (Luke 18:1), the Rosary allows us to have hope that even today it is possible to win in such a difficult “struggle” for peace. “
How to pray the Rosary
Children are much more open to praying the Rosary than many adults. If the Rosary is recited correctly and under appropriate guidance, our relationship with Saint Mary will deepen – they will become closer the longer we pray. It is such a deep relationship with the Mother of God that we can learn from children!

Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into Hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty. He shall come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, Thou art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
O Mary
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you!
Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell; bring all souls into Heaven, especially those who most in need of your mercy.
