Children visited The National library of Belarus, where classes took place at the exhibitions “Renewed Masterpiece” and “Illustratio”. They saw old prints and an engraving board of the XVII century, got acquainted with a variety of techniques of book illustration. The graphics of Belarusian artists were impressive – etchings, lithographs, linocuts, woodcuts, watercolors and other techniques. The kids themselves tried to make prints of images from wooden boards. One of the images is an engraving, used by the first printer Frantsysc Scaryna in the books of Bible and which is the visual symbol.
The excursion was organized as a part of the Art Studio “Bible and art” course for children.
