Journey in Search of Mercy

Is it possible to travel not far but have much impression? The trip of our summer camp “Vacation with God” to the Central Children’s Park confirmed that there are many interesting and inspiring things near us!

The children went to the park not only to relax, but also… in search of mercy. During the game “Me and my hero”, the children were asked to turn into their favorite hero of a fairy tale, film or book and tell about him: what kind of character he has, emotional coloring, why he impresses most. The participants talked about the good deeds of the heroes, determined what moral values ​​they are guided by, put in their “treasury” all the best character traits of the heroes that should be developed in themselves, discussed where they might be needed now and in adult life. The children also learned how to create a presentation: they got to know the stages of actors’ preparation for a performance, they were able to use the help of a costume designer and a make-up artist, they participated in creating photo portraits of their friends. Through the game, the children learned to look for and find the good, bright, clean in the characters, use this experience in real relationships with people.
