From March 17 to 19, a Lenten retreat was held at the Christian Social Center.
They started with a conference by father Alaksandar Šamrycki for the employees of the Mission. The priest spoke on the topic of education, the role of teachers in a child’s life and the value of each child. In his reflections, the father relied on the message of Pope Francis on the occasion of World Children’s Day, which will be held in Rome.
On other days, the retreat was conducted by the Greek-Catholic priest father Jaŭhien Usošyn. The main theme was the virtues of the Christian life: faith, hope and courage.
The day of the end of the retreat coincided with the celebration of St. Joseph’s Day, and in our Mission it is also the Father’s Day. Father Jaŭhien spoke at a conference for dads, sharing his own experience of upbringing children, since he is a father himself.
We sincerely thank our guest for the opportunity to experience this Great Lent more deeply!
