A group of students from the History Faculty together with their supervisor got acquainted with the activities of the Social Centre.
The head of the group, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of Belarus Alina Vieramejczyk, said that students are currently taking a course on modern history of religions. As a part of this course, students get acquainted with religious educational institutions in Minsk.
The studentss shared their thoughts, “we have never been to such institutions, it was very interesting to learn how it works, what it looks like.” “There are not so many Catholics among us, so in general this is very interesting.
The Orthodox have something similar, but the Christian Social Centre is still different in format. You have adults and small children, – the students said, – “it’s cozy here, just like home, you could say.”
