On April 15, a prayer of glorification was held at the Christian social center at the charity mission of the Good Samaritan, in which a large number of children and their parents took part.
At the beginning of the prayer, the gathered were addressed by the director of the Center, Sister Czaslawa Nawickaya USJK, who encouraged all gathered to pray together and donate this time in the intention of peace in the world: to ask the Lord God for his mercy for the whole world, especially for children.
Sister Czaslawa invited to pray to God for guaranties of life and peace to all children . And those gathered prayed that there would be no war and people would not die, and also that mothers would not kill the life conceived in them.
“Children bear mercy” – these words became the motto of the prayer of glorification, which brought together children from different parishes of the Minsk-Mogilev and Pinsk diocese, as well as guests: the children’s group of the choir “piligrims” of the Minsk Orthodox parish in honor of the Holy Princess Olga.
More than 14 musical groups, ensembles and choirs came to the Christian Social Center to sing and pray together, asking for God’s mercy for the whole world.
After the words of Sister Chaslava, Priest Alexander Shamritsky came out to the assembled with a Monstration in his hands, in which the Lord Jesus himself was in the Most Holy Sacrament.
Christ, who was present among the children, was gifted and glorified by the singing of groups that sang in praise of the greatness and power of God.
Boys and girls sang about boundless love, the power of hope and the greatness of faith. With their singing, they also prayed that sin and evil would disappear from the hearts of people, so that God’s grace and love would increase in them.
The end of the prayer of glorification was the song ”Prayer for Belarus“, which was sung together by all those present: both children and adults. During the prayer of glorification, the children held colored flowers in their hands. At the end of the prayer, the children laid these flowers at the altar.
Archbishop Emmerit Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, who was present at the prayer, also addressed the audience. The Honored Hierarch noted that the chapel of the Christian Social Center has not yet seen such a large number of children. The Archpastor thanked God, as well as children and parents for their joint prayer.
After lunch, to which all those present were invited, children and parents went outdoors, where an entertainment program was held for them, during which kids and adults danced Belarusian folk dances to the sounds of a violin and tambourine. The younger participants played with the clown, blowing soap bubbles.
