The play “The Adventures of St. Joseph in Egypt” took place in the summer camp with the participation of young actors. The preparation for the premiere consisted of biblical meetings-reflections, singing, master classes in acting skills and scenic speech. Fruitful cooperation of teachers and children produced a wonderful result!
Actress Alena Bayarova, who acted as a teacher, screenwriter and director at the summer camp, said after the premiere: “A very instructive story takes place in the play “Adventures of St. Joseph in Egypt.” It tells us about the fact that it can be difficult for us to get understood with our relatives! How often we take offense, offend others, hurt. How difficult it can be to forgive, to live not according to emotions, but wisdom.”
Music teacher Larisa Tsarova, who was responsible for the musical design of the performance, added: “The performance illustrates the main program of our summer camp. Using the example of Joseph’s story, we daily reflected on how God acted in the Joseph’s life and his family, how through numerous trials He taught His people to overcome anger, envy and resentment. Joseph’s story helped us to understand what wonderful victories God’s Love can achieve in a person.”
The children celebrated the premiere of the play and the end of the first session of the summer camp with a big beautiful cake!
