Where can you hide from the heat in the city? Of course, in the museum! It’s cool and comfortable here and there are still many interesting exhibits! Our summer camp student went to the National Art Museum to see a part of the exposition dedicated to Belarusian ancient art. We were very lucky with a tour guide – the tour was conducted by Zmitser Monich, an experienced museum curator and expert of Belarusian art.
Young visitors saw objects of fine art (painting, wooden sculpture, objects of decorative and applied art), handwritten book monuments in the exposition. It was very interesting to examine and “read” ancient icons. In the exposition children had the opportunity to see real masterpieces of the Belarusian icon painting school.
