On October 18, the prayer action One Million Children Praying the Rosary took place, which, according to the request of Pope Francis, united children from all dioceses of Belarus for the fifth time.
Jubilee Rosary prayer, according to the tradition, took place with the intention of peace in the whole world. Children from Minsk, Smalavičy, and Barysaŭ arrived at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in Žodzina. The communication was established with the children of Babrujsk, Brasłaŭ, Baranavičy, and Hrodna through live broadcast.
One Million Children Praying the Rosary is a global initiative that first took place in 2005 in Venezuela as a response to the call of Our Lady of Fatima in 1917 to pray the Rosary with the intention of peace. The Virgin also emphasized that the sincere prayer of children has great power. The organizer of the action is the Pontifical Foundation Help the Church in Need. Its main goal is to show that trusting children’s prayers can go straight to God and thus change the world.
