The parish Youth Ball was held at the Christian Social Center

On April 24, young believers of the parish of St. John the Evangelist and St. Maximilian Kolbe in Minsk, together with their pastors, Christian priests, gathered for the first youth ball, which was held at the Christian social center.

As noted on the parish’s website jan.by the way, the inspiration for this unusual event was a family ball organized last spring by the spouses of the Equipes Notre-Dame movement, in which part of the youth took part.

The pastors supported the desire and initiative of the youth. Priest Uladimir Marusheusky SChr says:

“The ball became a real celebration because all the participants tried their best. Our youth was marked by responsibility and creativity. I am proud of our youth. Separately, I sincerely thank the marriage of Alena and Valery Shimak for the great heart and effort in the joint organization of the holiday and its holding. It was gorgeous and great!”

The young participants prepared in advance for the ball, which lasted six hours. They managed to learn more than twenty ballroom dances, among which were polonaise, waltz, polka and others.

At the end of the ball, each of the participants received a small gift, and then all together, gathered in a single circle of friends, thanked the Lord God for a wonderful evening and expressed the hope that this ball would be the beginning of a new beautiful tradition of the young parish.
