Travelling to Ivyanets

The children from the Mission went to the city Ivyanets to visit the Catholic Church of Saint Michael the Archangel and the Franciscan monastery (White Church), and also the local museum of traditional culture, a smithy, a potter’s workshop and a weaver.

The museum exposition contains of rare photos, books, documents. They tell about the life and culture of the place Ivyanets, its famous natives. Local pottery has been known since the XVI century. And Ivyanets was called “the capital of pottery”. Even organ pipes were sculpted from clay here.
