On February 13, 2025, the Christian Social Center held a master class on wytsinanka creativity for adults and children. Master Natalla Hamajunava told about the traditions of wytsinanka in different countries: Japan, China, Poland, Israel and others. But first of all, the meeting was devoted to the history and features of the Belarusian wytsinanka. In 2024, The Belarusian art of Wytsinanka was recognised as a masterpiece of intangible heritage and inscribed on the UNESCO list!
During the meeting there was a presentation of the book Yahnka Creates Wytsinanka with poems by Luboŭ Sivurava. Editor Alesia Čarnavokaja told about the history of the book. The participants of the meeting also had the opportunity to make a craft icon with the image of the Christian shrine, or with the images of the classics of Belarusian literature (thanks to Maryja Kavalčuk). Interesting and witty were riddles for children. With pleasure, the little winners were waiting for sweet gifts. Each participant of the workshop was able to make several handmade postcards, and most importantly, immerse oneself in the magical universe of Belarusian art.
Creative evening was spent in a good mood and friendly atmosphere.
