On the eve of Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11, the fifth prayer of praise “Children Bring Mercy” took place. Once again, children from various parishes of the Minsk-Mahiloŭ Archdiocese gathered at the Christian Social Center to offer prayers to God for peace throughout the world.

Since the universal Church is experiencing the Year of St. Francis, this year’s meeting theme was “Let Everything that Has Breath Praise the Lord”. Children came from Budsłaŭ, Niaśviž, Ivianiec, Słuck, Smalavičy, from the parishes of St. John the Evangelist and St. Francis in Minsk, as well as from the Good Samaritan Mission. Nine groups glorified God with their beautiful singing.

The second part of the prayer took place in the chapel. The children met Jesus hidden in the Most Holy Sacrament, opening their hearts before Him and lifting up their petitions. After a brief adoration, Metropolitan Juzaf Stanieŭski, who was present at the event, addressed all the children.

After the prayer, all participants enjoyed an entertainment program during which the children recalled the story of Noah and reflected on what it would be like if they had to build an ark today. The time passed in a very friendly, joyful atmosphere.
