In the chapel of the Christian Social Center, a Holy Mass was held on the occasion of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Assumption is one of the main celebrations during the liturgical year and is celebrated in most countries on August 15. On this day, the fruits of the new harvest are consecrated in churches – harvest sheaves, fruits, vegetables, as well as herbs and flowers.
The dogma of the Assumption, promulgated in 1950, was part of the program of Pope Pius XII, who wholeheartedly cared about the spread of Marian piety. The Pope believed that the announcement of the new Marian dogma would be a great impetus for the development of the cult of the Mother of God, and it would set the world on a good path.
