On February 11, on the occasion of the World Day of the Sick, a holiday was held at the Mission of the Good Samaritan, in which about 70 persons with disabilities took part. The World Day of the Sick is celebrated in memory of Our Lady of Lourdes, where many healings take place to this day.
A concert, a gala dinner, and an entertainment program were prepared for all those present. The spiritual father of the Mission, Fr. Alyaxandar Shamrytski addressed the audience, emphasizing that patience and illness are a part of everyday life. As Christians, we should not complain about our fate, but try to face all difficulties with courage and joy. The priest recalled the content of the parable of the Good Samaritan and noted that we should take care so that a person in need is never left alone with his worries.
We hope that the celebration that took place in the Mission ignited a light of warmth, joy and hope in the hearts of all present.
